Examining Language Assessment Literacy for Saudi Pre-service EFL Teachers

Teacher assessment skills include knowledge of methods and techniques, the ability to interpret results, use tailor teaching strategies student needs. The present study examines non-native Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) pre-service teachers' awareness students’ assessment. also investigates whether studying course in significantly impacts literacy. To answer research questions, an online test was administered 52 teachers who are seniors at Majmaah University. collected data were analyzed descriptively inferentially with aid IBM SPSS version 22. results revealed that TEFL have low level Despite overall weak performance test, participants showed strength some standards for teachers’ competence. They high capability choosing developing appropriate methods. On other hand, possessed little about their implement adjust curriculum or make better instructional decisions. Based on institutions may consider adding more courses plan adopting existing curricula extending it all needed creating qualified teachers. Designing careful professional development training program EFL faculty members is another important recommendation study. Finally, future field planning implementing programs improve skills.
